Alexis Acupuncture is the professional new business that grew out of many years of study and training. Alexis’ education began in Dana Point, CA where she graduated from Dana Hills High School, while there she excelled in Science, History and Sports. Her undergraduate degree was earned from San Francisco State University, where she achieved a bachelor’s of science in Apparel Design and Merchandising and Holistic Medicine. It was there that she first started studying Chinese medicine and holistic health, and was fascinated by this approach to health care.
While nursing a sports injury at University, Alexis received her first acupuncture treatment and was surprised at how well she healed, and was able to resume an active and pain free lifestyle. Alexis earned her master’s degree from Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine College Berkeley. She also studied at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA where she studied Mandarin and received a massage therapy certification in Shiatsu. Alexis also studied and trained in Japan, at Shikoku Medical College. In Japan Alexis had the honor of training and learning from world famous Doctors in her field. She earned two certifications in Japanese Facial Acupuncture, and Meridian Therapy.
Alexis worked in her private practice and community style acupuncture in the San Francisco Bay area for over 6 years. Alexis Acupuncture is the culmination of many years of study, practice and community service. Healing sessions are catered to each patient’s specific needs. At Alexis Acupuncture patients can expect to be treated with kindness and care and a full health history and diagnosis is reviewed before the first session. Alexis truly enjoys connecting with patients and provides a beautiful and comfortable space for healing and relaxation.
